Thundafund is a dynamic and unique reward-based crowdfunding platform based in South Africa that was created in 2013. Since then, we've expanded our reach to Kenya in 2019 and The Gambia in 2020, becoming a dominant force in the African crowdfunding market. Our motivation derives from a strong desire to assist and empower entrepreneurs on their path to success. We understand the difficulties that might emerge when attempting to bring creative concepts and ideas to fruition, particularly when it comes to obtaining the necessary financing. That's why we created Thundafund: to give businesses like yours a helping hand and a friendly community.
WHAT IS CROWDFUNDING?
Crowdfunding is an online method of obtaining funds for your initiatives through small contributions from a large crowd of people.It is a contemporary method of obtaining funding for projects or ideas by reaching out to a huge number of people via an online platform. Rather than depending on traditional funding sources such as loans or personal savings, crowdfunding allows individuals to exhibit their projects and gain support from a community of backers.
Crowdfunding allows aspirations to become a reality by fostering collaboration and empowering individuals to bring their creative, business, or charitable ideas to life through small contributions from many people.
In exchange for financial contributions, project creators fundamentally 'presell' project-related things called incentives to backers. Retail items, recognition, and one-of-a-kind experiences are among the prizes available.

To obtain all of their funding, all initiatives on Thundafund must hit their Tipping Point before the project closes. If their goal is not met, all project funders will be repaid, minus banking expenses. This means that when a supporter backs a campaign, they are certain that the creator will gather enough funds to make the concept a reality.
You can choose the duration of your campaign, there are three common options either 30, 45 or 60 days.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?
Once your project is successfully funded Thundafund receives a commission on the final amount crowdfunded:• 5% for certified NGOs;• 7% for individuals and organisations.
There are also Credit Card, Paypal and related Bank Charges that come off the total raised
